Installing MongoDB on CentOS

1. #mcedit/etc/yum.repos.d/10gen.repo
[10gen] name = 10gen Repository baseurl = http://downloads-distro.mongodb.org/repo/redhat/os/x86_64 gpgcheck = 1 enabled = 0

[10gen]
name = 10gen Repository
baseurl = http://downloads-distro.mongodb.org/repo/redhat/os/x86_64
gpgcheck = 0
enabled = 1

F2, F10

2. install-y #yum-mongo-mongo 10gen 10gen-server

Done!

Config-/etc/mongod.conf
Executable file-/etc/rc.d/init.d/mongod

Logs and libraries:
/var/lib/mongo
/var/log/mongo

Add AutoPlay:
#chkconfig mongod on

Service management:
#service mongod start
#service mongod stop
#service mongod restart

Test:
#mongo
db.test.save > ({a: 1})
db.test.find > ()

Should display something like:
{“_id”: ObjectId (“51f6c62ef708ff35aa55eab7”), “a”: 1}
